Need some help before deciding on an outdoor pool table

I am a decent pool player but never had the money or the space to purchase my own pool table. 3 Months ago I purchased my recent home, it is wonderful and has more room than my former one. Placing a pool table into it's own pool room is not a problem anymore. At least that's what I thought until I began to doubt if dedicating a complete room for pool playing is sensible.
I read an interesting article on outdoor pool tables and wonder if this would be the solution.

I realize this is a fantastic place with magnificent members so what I am asking is if a few of you had satisfactory experiences with an outdoor pool table. Please inform me if playing pool outside has any additional advantages to playing inside next to the fact that you don't have to set aside a room for the pool table. Is it tricky to keep the pool table in decent state?
